Plans and billing

Ikimotion Studio has two plans, Creator and Studio. Every new account starts with a free 7-day Creator trial; no card is needed.

The free trial

The trial starts the first time you sign in with a confirmed email address (or a Google or Discord account). Each person gets one trial: a new account with the same email address, the same linked account or the same payment details does not start another one. If you signed up with an email and password, confirm your address first; the banner under the top bar reminds you.

In the last two days of the trial a banner shows how much time is left.

Creator and Studio

Paying yearly saves about 17%. Prices are in US dollars; the checkout shows your local currency and tax. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller, who also sends the invoices.

To subscribe, open the account menu (your picture in the top bar) and choose Choose a plan…, or use the button in the banner. Pick the plan and the billing period (and, for Studio, the number of editors), then complete the payment in the checkout window that opens. As soon as the payment arrives your plan is active and editing works again; you do not need to reload.

When a plan ends

Your projects stay yours. Without an active plan (after the trial, or when a subscription ends) projects open read-only: you can open them, look around, export and download them, but not change them, invite collaborators or create review links. Choose a plan at any time to continue editing.

The Billing page

Open Billing from the account menu (or go to /billing). It shows:

• your current plan and until when it runs, or when it renews;
• your subscription: plan, billing period and the next payment date;
• Open the customer portal: Paddle’s page to update your payment method, download invoices and cancel your subscription. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for;
• Change plan: switch between Creator and Studio, monthly and yearly, or change the number of Studio editors. You see what the change costs (or credits) before you confirm; Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of the billing period.

If a renewal payment fails, a banner asks you to update your payment method. Your plan keeps working while Paddle retries the payment.

Studio seats

A Studio subscription pays for a number of editors; you, the owner, hold one seat. On the Billing page, give a seat to a teammate by entering their email address. They get Studio as soon as they sign in with that address (an email lets them know). Remove takes a seat back. To give more seats, raise the number of editors first. Lowering it frees the newest seats.

Account deletion

An account with a renewing subscription cannot be deleted. Cancel the subscription in the customer portal first; you can delete the account once it no longer renews.
